We’re a small design studio based in Cottesloe, offering connected interior and exterior design services.

Habitat Projects was born through building and renovating six of our own homes across Western Australia. Our projects started in the inner Perth suburbs, next we built in the Yallingup / Dunsborough region, and more recently our projects have been in Cottesloe and Denmark. Through building and living in these homes, we learned first-hand what works, what doesn’t, and where real value can be added.

In every project we focus on sustainability. We protect what’s already there, and use thoughtful landscaping to create new habitats. We work with enduring, natural, and handmade materials, prioritising sourcing from local makers wherever possible. We’re particularly passionate about restoring and reworking existing homes. Renovations offer a powerful opportunity to preserve character and reduce waste.

We see each project as a partnership, working closely with our clients to understand their priorities. We have found that with the right planning and support, good design doesn’t have to cost more. Drawing on our trusted network of suppliers and trades, we often save costs by reducing uncertainty. Open communication and mutual respect make the process smoother, more enjoyable, and more creative, delivering spaces that we are all proud of.
